Raid Rules Scheme:
---------------------
First off, some common ground rules that I believe apply to all SIMS are listed below:

BASIC RAID RULES

1. DEAD IS DEAD . Stay dead and don't fight again. Keep the battles RP. If you die, don’t get in the middle of the fight.

2. No weapons stacking of any kind. You can use a bow and melee when the sim allows ranged but you cannot have both drawn AT THE SAME TIME. Be realistic and reasonable.

3. Don’t attack a fighter that hasn’t rezzed or whose DCS is still loading.

4. Respect the other Sim's war rules, if you are in another sim. Be aware of non-combat areas.
NEVER FIGHT CLOSE TO OR INSIDE THE STORES OR WELCOME AREAS.

5. NO GUNS, BOMBS, LIGHT SABRES, GRENADES, ROCKETS, CAGES, ORBITING, INVISIBILITY, PUSH DEVICES or any other griefer-type toys that have not been mentioned - you know what they are.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION

THE RAID LEADERS SPEAK FOR THEIR TEAMS AND DEAL WITH THEIR TEAMMATES.

There will always be cases where the rules are broken by someone. The vast majority of infractions are mistakes or misunderstandings and should be treated as such.

1. If you see another player in violation of sim rules or basic raid rules, you should IM your raid leader stating the name of the player and what rule was broken. DO NOT CALL CHEATER ANYBODY

2. Your raid leader will contact the raid leader of the opposing team and notify them of the infraction and let the leader of the opposing team deal with the player in violation.

3. DO NOT ADDRESS THE ISSUE IN OPEN CHAT.
By doing so, you embarrass the player who made a mistake and put them on the defensive side. It will also draw everyone in earshot into the situation making it confusing and difficult to address. When too many people are involved in a situation, things will spiral out of control and end up with bad feelings between the two teams.

4. Personal insults will not be tolerated by either side. KEEP COMMENTS, WHININGS AND ACCUSATIONS OF CHEATING TO YOURSELF. If you really think it's worth talking about, SEE RULE # 1.

5. Please Do not fight in safe zones.

GENERAL SIM RULES FOR RAIDS

1. NO ENHANCED WEAPONS
2. NO DISPLACEMENT WEAPONS
3. NO THROWABLE WEAPONS
4. NO MADE OWNED WEAPONS
5. BOWS ARE NOT ALLOWED
6. NO SUPER JUMP
7. NO POWERS
8. HEALING IS NOT ALLOWED
9. NO PET AVATARS
10. INSULT ARE NOT ALLOWED
11 DEAD IS DEAD. DO NOT REVIVE. IF YOU DIE, WAIT FOR THE NEXT ROUND TO START BEFORE YOU CAN FIGHT AGAIN.
12. NO SWIMMING OR HIDING IN THE WATER

WE GIVE ONLY ONE WARNING. SECOND WARNING WILL BE SUBJECT TO EJECTION FROM THE SIM. SO PLEASE RESPECT OUR RULES.

MINI RAID

MINI RAIDS OF UP TO 8 PEOPLE MAY HAPPEN AT ANY TIME.

ONLY ROYAL GUARDS/CAPTAINS/COMMANDERS/ GENERALS CAN LEAD MINI RAIDS. IF THERE ARE SEVERAL LEADERS PRESENT AT THE TIME OF THE SURPRISE ATTACK, THE ONE WITH THE HIGHEST RANK SHALL LEAD.

MINI RAIDS CAN LAST ONLY 4 ROUNDS. AFTER THIS, THE LEADER WILL HAVE TO TALK WITH A COMMANDER IF THEY WISH TO HAVE MORE ROUNDS OF RAID AND TP IN MORE PEOPLE.

NO RAIDS WHILE ORGANIZED EVENTS ARE TAKING PLACE SUCH AS TOURNEYS/PARTIES.

IF A TRAINING SESSION IS TAKING PLACE AND YOU WOULD LIKE TO RAID THEN PLEASE TALK WITH THE TRAINING LEADERS.

RAIDS ARE TO BE PRE-ARRANGED AT LEAST 30 MINS PRIOR.

THE COMMANDERS OF THE RAID WILL DISCUSS THE STARTING LOCATION OF THE RAID AND HOW MANY WARRIORS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO JOIN.
IN RAIDS EACH, SIDE IS ALLOWED TO TP IN THEIR ALLIES, WITH OR WITHOUT A FIXED NUMBER OF WARRIORS DEPENDED ON THE AGREEMENT..
3 ROUNDS IN EACH SIM, OR NUMBER OF ROUNDS TO BE AGREED UPON BY RAID LEADERS.

SAME GENERAL RULES APPLY:

1. NO ENHANCED WEAPONS
2. NO DISPLACEMENT WEAPONS
3. NO THROWABLE WEAPONS
4. NO MADE OWNED WEAPONS
5. BOWS ARE NOT ALLOWED
6. NO SUPER JUMP
7. NO POWERS
8. HEALING IS NOT ALLOWED
9. NO PET AVATAR
10. INSULT ARE NOT ALLOWED
11 DEAD IS DEAD !!!
12. NO SWIMMING !!!

SUPRISE ATTACKS

SURPRISE RAIDS OF UP TO 10 PEOPLE MAY HAPPEN AT ANY TIME. ONLY ROYAL GUARDS/CAPTAIN/COMMANDERS/ GENERALS CAN LEAD SUPRISE ATTACKS OR MINI RAIDS. IF THERE ARE SEVERAL LEADERS PRESENT AT THE TIME OF THE SURPRISE ATTACK, THE ONE WITH THE HIGHEST RANK SHALL LEAD.

DURING A SUPRISE RAID, EVERYONE WEARING A DCS METER CAN BE KILLED, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF BEING IN SAFE ZONES THAT INCLUDE SHOPS, HOUSES, APELLA BUILDINGS, OR ANY OTHER PLACE MENTIONED BY LEADERS THAT ISN'T MENTIONED HERE.

SUPRISE ATTACKS CAN LAST ONLY 1 ROUND. AFTER THIS THE LEADER WILL HAVE TO TALK WITH A COMMANDER IF YOU DECIDE TO RAID AND TP IN MORE PEOPLE.

BEFORE ATTACKING, THE ATTACKING PARTY MUST SHOUT A "LINE OF FIRE" SUCH AS :

" HELLO ALL .... WE ARE HERE TO KILL YOU ALL!!!"
" PERSIAN GO AND KILL THEM ALL !! "
" sounds off the Battle Horn"

ALL PEOPLE CAN BE KILLED UNLESS THEY ARE IN A SAFE ZONE. TO AVOID PROBLEMS, PLEASE TAKE OFF OR TURN OFF YOUR DCS IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE ATTACK.

THE RAID SHOULD ONLY BE LED AND HANDLED BY A RAID LEADER.

SAME GENERAL RULES FOR ALL. THESE ARE:

NO HEALING
NO REVIVE ( DEAD IS DEAD)
NO BOWS/THROWING WEAPONS
NO INSULTS IN LOCAL CHAT, EVERYTHING IS PASSED TO THE RAID LEADERS TO PROMPTLY DEAL WITH.
THE USE OF GRYPHON WEAPONS IS ALLOWED.
NOT SUPER JUMP
NO PET AVATAR
NO POWERS
NO ENHANCED WEAPONS
NO DISPLACEMENT WEAPONS

The use of Gryphon's Lair weapons (GL weapons) is no longer permitted in Persia

General Kanibal, General Golden, and General Look have left the army of Persia

At the time of this writing, General Kurenai is in command of army of Persia

PostSubject: Still wondering what "made owned weapons" are.   Tue Dec 28, 2010 12:32 am

Some places talk about no "home made" weapons, which is silly as there are no weapon factories in SL. All weapons are mady by someone behind his or her computer.

Some places talk about only "commercially available" weapons .. meaning anyone must be able to buy the weapon for a reasonable amount.

Some places talk about no "self made" weapons .. to avoid people building in tricks .. Which does not work at all because lots of weapons are mod so anyone can add scripts to a weapon. And even when not, how do you know that the maker is not one of the alts of the wielder...

i suggest to stick to "commercially available" and further add a rule that no enhancement of normal SL movement is allowed .. so no pushes/impulse .. no low gravity .. no tp .. no nothing.
